There was no rancid smell at all. It blended well using a powerful handheld emulsifier type of blender. I chopped up 2 lbs into small blocks, then emulsified it until it was smooth and creamy. I switched to a handheld beater once the base was creamy, I added 6% of fragrance and 1% DPG. I whipped that then added 1% of jojoba oil, .5% of liquid shea olein, 1% of Argan oil. The oils mixed in well and it smelled divine! I gave samples to customers and everyone loved it. I'm now introducing a new line of the bath butter to my shop There was no rancid smell at all.  It blended well using a powerful handheld emulsifier type of blender.  I chopped up 2 lbs into small blocks, then emulsified it until it was smooth and creamy.  I switched to a handheld beater once the base was creamy, I added 6% of fragrance and 1% DPG.  I whipped that then added 1% of jojoba oil, .5% of liquid shea olein, 1% of Argan oil.  The oils mixed in well and it smelled divine!  I gave samples to customers and everyone loved it.
